ABOUT US
Flood Control Research Centre (FCRC) was established on January 18, 2013 under the Faculty of Civil Engineering (FKA). Establishment of Flood Control Research Centre (FCRC) is intended to help the faculty implement the latest research for the solution of the overall flood problem effectively and efficiently. It would also be a relevant reference floods mainly tropical deluge.
This research centre now has a number of researchers UiTM vast experience in the field of flood control and management, as well a large number of research students involved in research related to flooding. To strengthen the network of knowledge, expertise and referral sources, four (4) of the world's top universities in the same field will provide the collaboration of Colorado State University, USA, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, India, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT ), Bangkok, Thailand and the University of Stuttgart, Germany.
a) To help realize the mission and vision of UiTM to academic excellence and the sharing of knowledge through academic activities, research, publications and cooperation relations.
b) To help improve the quality of student performance and publication of research Postgraduate (research) UiTM, especially in the areas of flood control and management.
c) To assist in providing material information about the flood problem in Malaysia.
d) To help provide opportunities and exposure to the researchers, lecturers and students and the industry on flood management expertise from researchers from top universities worldwide.
